Depending on the time of year, budget, and sector, allow between one and three weeks on average. Some cases are finalized in a few days, while others require a little more time.

A work permit is required for all foreign nationals wishing to work in France. The employee can begin working once the permit is issued.

A few exceptions:

  • Nationals of European countries, the European Economic Area, and Switzerland
  • Certain visa categories are also exempt, such as "Talent" status.

Applying for work authorization is the employer's responsibility.
